Mike Lamb had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Santa Fe Trailer Bitches defeated
the Enterprise Trekkers 10 to 3 at the ballpark.
Santa Fe set the tone of the game in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on
2 base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Todd Helton who brought
the crowd to their feet when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home
run (his 6th of the season). Santa Fe ended up with 13 hits for the game
while Enterprise had 9.
Chris Carpenter(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings
and allowing 3 runs. Latroy Hawkins was credited with his 1st save. Jason
Marquis(0-3) was the losing pitcher. He was not very effective, surrendering
6 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
